The Web team is pleased to announce that one of our projects, www.FlightoftheFlyers.com, created in partnership with Alumni Relations and with interactive, design and development partner Wall to Wall Studios, has won a whole BUNCH of amazing awards!!

In the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Region II awards, the site won a Bronze medal in the category Website: Microsite; it also won a Public Relations Society of America PRism award for Best Not-For-Profit Website, AND an honorable mention in the annual Admissions Advertising Awards. Wow!
But perhaps even more exciting, we also threw our site into the ring for the national CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, putting it up against hundreds of other colleges and universities throughout the country. Excitingly, thrillingly, FlightoftheFlyers.com brought home not one, not two, but THREE top awards! It won Gold medals in the categories Individual Sub-Website and Alumni Relations Programs: Creative Use of Technology and New Media. Even better, the site took the Grand Gold Medal in the Alumni Relations category, which means that it beat out every one of the other 126 entries submitted in the Alumni Relations section for "Best in Show" (including work from schools like Cornell, Georgetown, UC-San Diego, Tufts and RPI).
Colleen from the Web team and Kerry from alumni relations were recently interviewed about the project in preparation for the upcoming CASE Leadership Summit. Read the interview and overview, "Flight of the Flyers: Social media and real-world action."
